He is one of Pakistan’s best bowlers in the shortest format
Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf is currently on the sidelines after suffering a shoulder injury during season nine of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) this year.
The injury also forced Harris to miss the ongoing five-match T20I series against New Zealand on home soil.
However, Rauf has now completed his rehabilitation. And gym training has also started.
The right-hander is on the radar of the selection committee for the T20 World Cup starting in June. But he will be keeping a close eye on how he bowls during the practice sessions in the coming days.
Earlier this month, while addressing a press conference in Lahore. Pakistan selector Wahab Riaz had said that Rauf “may be fit for the England series”.
The deadline for submitting squads for the T20 World Cup is May 1, but changes can be made on the 25th of next month. Any change in the team after that would require the approval of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The Pakistani team will play 3 T20I matches against Ireland and 4 against England away from home next month.
The Pakistani squad will leave England for America before the T20 World Cup.
The coaching staff of Pakistan Men’s team will also be announced after the conclusion of the series against New Zealand.
HD Live Sports reported earlier this month. Former South African batsman Gary Kirsten and former Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie have been finalized by the PCB for the roles of white ball and red ball head coach respectively for the national men’s team.
