Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim could feature in the fourth T20I against New Zealand tomorrow in Lahore.

Imad could make a comeback in the side as part of the rotation policy adopted by the team management, according to Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan.

“This is part of the rotation policy, we were told about it before the series. I think he [Imad] can play but I can’t confirm it yet,” Shadab replied when asked if Imad would play the fourth T20I during a press conference on Wednesday.

The left-arm is yet to feature in the ongoing five-match T20I series against New Zealand on home soil.

left-arm Imad had decided to retire from T20I cricket last month ahead of this year’s World Cup.

Imad has featured in 66 T20Is in which he has scored 486 runs at a strike-rate of 131.7 and has bagged 65 wickets at an economy-rate of 6.26. He last took the field for Pakistan 12 months ago in Rawalpindi, which is his home ground, against New Zealand.

He performed exceedingly well during the recently-concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine, leading his side, Islamabad United, to the title.

Imad, who took a historic five-wicket haul against Multan Sultans in the final of PSL 9, was adjudged the player of the match. Because Islamabad United won their first and overall third PSL trophy after 2018.

Imad also became the first player in the history of PSL. who won the player of the match award in all three playoff games.

Imad has been an important member of the Pakistani team for many years. And was a member of the 2017 Champions Trophy winning team. He also played in the 2016 T20 World Cup, 2019 World Cup, and 2021 T20 World Cup.
