Manchester City have been crowned Premier League champions for a record fourth consecutive season after their final day victory over West Ham. The 3-1 win at the Etihad Stadium ensured City finished two points ahead of title rivals Arsenal, marking their sixth Premier League title in the past seven seasons under Pep Guardiola.
Foden and De Bruyne Shine
Phil Foden, who scored twice in the decisive match, was named player of the match. Reflecting on the achievement, Foden told Sky Sports, “Not just me, all the lads have played in important games, we’ve played this scenario over. We were confident. It’s paid off. Kevin De Bruyne, now a six-time Premier League winner, described this title as one of his “most special” after overcoming a challenging season plagued by injuries. “It feels as amazing as the first one,” said De Bruyne. “We worked so hard for it, it’s been a tough battle with Arsenal and Liverpool. Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville praised Guardiola and his team, stating, “What an amazing achievement from Manchester City’s players and coach. Man City come back week after week, month after month, season after season. From a sporting perspective, you can’t take anything away from them. They are at such a high level.”
Neville continued, “Pep’s designed a style of football which has been revered around Europe. He’s a winning machine.”

City trailed Liverpool by three points and Arsenal by one when they drew at home to the Gunners on March 31. However, they went on to win their final nine league games, surging to the top of the standings and clinching the title.

With individual honours such as FWA player of the year for Foden and Golden Boot winner Erling Haaland, Manchester City now turn their attention to the FA Cup final. They aim to complete a double by defeating neighbors Manchester United at Wembley on Saturday, May 25.
