The French striker has left Paris Saint-Germain

Kylian Mbappe is set to depart Paris Saint-Germain as his contract is coming to an end on June 30.

The French striker is expected to join Real Madrid, with an official announcement anticipated soon.

However, the 25-year-old has recently sparked interest by expressing his desire to play for another European giant.

In an interview with Sky Sports, he was asked if he would like to play in Italy. Not only did he leave that possibility open, but Mbappe also admitted to considering AC Milan as a potential destination.

“Italian football? You never know what happens”, told Sky Sports. “I was always saying: if I will go to Italy one day, I will go to Milan.”

Mbappe has yet to play outside of Ligue 1. who excelled at AS Monaco before making a blockbuster move to PSG in the summer of 2017.

“As a kid, I was a big fan of AC Milan and I always watch Serie A, every Milan game. All my family, massive Milan fan!,” Mbappe added.

“My relationship with AC Milan is special,” Mbappe told Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport in May 2022. “As a child, I had an Italian nanny. And I spent a lot of time with her family, who were all AC Milan fans. So, thanks to them, I also cheered for the Rossoneri and AC Milan. Watched many games.

Mbappe bid farewell to PSG after winning 14 trophies, including six league titles. However, he could not lead his team to European glory. Because despite coming so close to winning in 2020, they lost to Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.

In his video, Mbappe did not say where he will go next but according to reports, the Frenchman has already signed his contract with Madrid in February. And the Spanish club could announce the deal after the Champions League final, which is set to take place in June. 1.
