Kylian Mbappe Gears Up for La Liga Debut with Real Madrid Against Mallorca

Kylian Mbappe is ready to make his highly anticipated La Liga debut as Real Madrid squares off against RCD Mallorca in their season opener at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix on Sunday.

The 25-year-old French sensation joined Los Blancos on a free transfer after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired. Mbappe inked a five-year deal with Real Madrid, committing to the Spanish giants until 2029.

Mbappe has already showcased his talent in Madrid colors during the UEFA Super Cup clash against Atlanta, where he found the back of the net in the second half, helping secure the prestigious title.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti expressed his admiration for Mbappe in a pre-match press conference, highlighting how well the forward has adapted to the team’s environment.

“With all the new players, the club makes every effort to ensure they feel at home. Mbappe is an extraordinary talent, and we are here to support his transition. He’s shown humility and seriousness in the dressing room, and he has made a great start,” Ancelotti stated.

Following a triumphant season where Real Madrid clinched both La Liga and the UEFA Champions League, the addition of Mbappe has bolstered their chances of defending their titles once again.

“We’re prepared to fight for every trophy. La Liga has begun with great intensity—lots of action, few fouls, and fewer interruptions. We’ve made a strong start and need to maintain this momentum. The introduction of semi-automatic offside technology will also enhance officiating accuracy, making it an exciting season, especially for us,” Ancelotti added.

The Italian tactician has emphasized the importance of squad rotation, particularly with the abundance of attacking options now at his disposal. Ahead of the Mallorca clash, Ancelotti reiterated his commitment to carefully managing players’ workloads.

“Vinicius, for instance, will get a break after returning from international duty with Brazil. Instead of immediately rejoining La Liga action, he’ll have three or four days off to recharge. That’s the plan—to let them rest and come back refreshed. It’s all about keeping the squad in peak condition,” Ancelotti concluded.
