Mustafizur Rahman is one of the leading wicket-takers in the tournament

Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman, who is currently playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. revealed that he doesn’t watch cricket often because he likes to play.

Having picked 12 wickets in the IPL 2024 so far, the left-arm pacer is one of CSK’s most important players but he will leave the franchise on May 1 due to international duty as Bangladesh will play a three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe.

28-year-old Rehman said that he rarely watches matches. Because even in T20 cricket they will tune only for the last four overs as by then the match enters the intense phase.

“I’ve never been an avid cricket watcher, I prefer playing. I think that it’s better for me to watch at that period [death overs]. Even when I watch a T20 match, I only watch the final four overs or so,” Mustafizur said in a video shared by CSK on the social media platforms.

“I try to observe where the batsmen are hitting the ball. How they are playing. Very rarely do I watch the full 40 overs of a match.

The left-armer

The left-armer revealed that playing for five-time IPL-winning team CSK was a dream come true. He also praised Chennai fans and former captain MS Dhoni for constantly giving him advice.
